We have just returned from a busy, fun filled adventure at Mt Maunganui Beachside Camp. We arrived exhausted from all our fabulous activities but very pleased with ourselves. For most of Room 3 it was the first time on camp and we were a splendid group of people who gave everything our all.
A huge "thank you" to the fabulous parents who made it all possible being extra hands, ears and eyes in and around the water. It was so very important to have you there in that capacity and you all deserve camp awards. Congratulations!!!!! We hope you feel this way about joining us on another camp.

Swimming
In Room 3 we have been learning lots of new water safety skills. Well done to Trinesh, Shawney, Annabella and Rory who are all working on building their confidence in and around water and learning some survival skills. You are improving everyday!!
Dylan, Ben and Conor have working on improving their speed in freestyle and mastering a new challenge of breast stroke. It is very hard to co-ordinate all the movements in time but you are perfecting it everyday in the water.
The rest of Room 3 frogs are working on improving their breathing techniques and their arm and kicking movements. You are splendid.

Back to school for 2013
Welcome back to Room 3 for 2013. We have some bright new faces in Room 3 and some familiar oldies. Great to see everyone organised and looking forward to an exciting new term where we will explore water safety, being Sun Smart, and Life Between The Tides. Life Between The Tides is an exciting science focused unit about the Rocky Shore. As a school we look forward to a fabulous day at Mt Maunganui. It all sounds very exciting!!!
Amongst the new faces in Room 3 we have three new families to the school, the Jacobsen family joins us with Conor in Room 3 from Hinuera School and the Wilkins family with Annabella from Te Miro School as well as the Bakker family with Jolie from Tirau School.
We offer you a very warm welcome to Kuranui School and look forward to getting to know you over the next few months.
